Instructions

    Prepare the ingredients

    • Slice the tofu into 1/2″ fingers and chop the broccoli into florets.
    • Prepare the white rice as per your liking.

    Fry the tofu and broccoli

    • Coat the tofu in the desired quantity of salt and pepper.
    • Add 3 tsp oil to a frying pan on medium heat, once hot, add the tofu to it. Let it get lightly golden brown and crisp on all sides while flipping it every 1 minute. It should take 3-4 minutes.
    • Remove the tofu from the pan, and add 1 tsp oil followed by the broccoli florets. Stir fry for a minute or two, then add 1/2 tsp salt.
    • Add a splash of water and cover the pan to cook the broccoli. Set the cooked tofu and broccoli aside.

    Prepare the sauce

    • In a mixing bowl, add the soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, honey, ginger & garlic paste, cornstarch and 25 grams of water. Whisk well until combined.
    • Add 1 tsp of oil to the frying pan on medium-low heat, and add the sauce to it. Continue whisking until it thickens.

    Bring it together

    • Once the teriyaki sauce is thickened, add the cooked tofu and broccoli and stir until the vegetables are covered in the sauce.

    Assembly

    • Serve the teriyaki tofu and broccoli over a bed of the cooked white rice.
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot!
