Instructions

    Prepare the ingredients

    • Thinly slice the garlic cloves.
    • Finely dice the tomatoes into 1/4″ cubes
    • Roughly slice the basil leaves too.
    • Grate the parmesan, set aside

    Start the sauce

    • Set a frying pan on medium-low heat, and add the extra virgin olive oil to it.
    • Add the sliced garlic and saute until fragrant.
    • Next, add the capers and olives, saute again for 1-2 minutes.
    • Add the diced tomatoes, saute for 2 minutes. Season generously with black pepper. Cover the pan and let cook for 10-15 minutes.

    Cook the pasta

    • Once the tomatoes are cooked, add 400 ml (for one serving) of water to the pan, season with salt.
    • Bring the sauce to a boil, and add the pasta to it.
    • Let the pasta cook in the sauce for 8-10 minutes, or until al dente.

    Finishing the pasta

    • Turn off the heat, and stir in the grated parmesan into the cooked pasta.

    Serve hot

    • Top it with the sliced basil leaves and serve hot.
